Here you will find important dates, voter registration links, and a listing of county voter registration and election information.

Attention Independent Voters: You TOO can vote in the August 24 primary!

Voting early? Contact your county elections office and indicate which partisan ballot you want.

Voting by mail? The ballot-request form sent to your home allows you to designate which party’s ballot you want.

Voting at the polls? Simply request the partisan ballot you want prior to your vote.

August 24, 2010 Primary Election Dates & Deadlines

Midnight, July 26, 2010	Deadline to register to vote for the August 24, 2010 Primary Election.
July 29 – August 20, 2010	Early voting period. *Please note: This period ends for IN-PERSON voting on August 20. Early ballots can still be mailed or dropped off at your county recorder’s office past this period.
August 13, 2010	Last day to request early ballots.
August 24, 2010	Primary Election Day! Ballots must be returned no later than 7:00 p.m. on election day…but please mail them sooner! *Please note: If you have NOT mailed your ballot by August 23 do NOT mail it! Instead, take it to your nearest polling place or your county recorder’s office ON ELECTION DAY!

November 2, 2010 General Election Dates & Deadlines.

Midnight, October 4, 2010	Deadline to register to vote for the November 2, 2010 General Election.
October 7 – October 29, 2010	Early voting period. *Please note: This period ends for IN-PERSON voting on October 29. Early ballots can still be mailed or dropped off at your county recorder’s office past this period.
October 22, 2010	Last day to request early ballots.
November 2, 2010	General Election Day! How to Register to Vote

One of the most important components to supporting your schools begins with one simple step: Register to vote. Arizona is an “equal funding” state for education. This means that each school district receives the same funding per student from the state legislature. Each elected member of our state legislature must be held accountable for how they vote, and this is how you can affect change!

The following are Arizona’s most recent per-pupil spending rankings:

National Education Association: 51st
U.S. Census Bureau: 49th
National Center for Education Statistics: 48th
Education Week: 50th
Even the very conservative American Legislative Exchange Council (ALEC) ranks Arizona 50th.

It’s time that Arizonans elect legislators who will prioritize education by upholding their Arizona Constitutional oath to fund public education. For more information on this, click here and here.

Life is often unpredictable. Meetings run long, waiting rooms fill up, and before you know it, the polls have closed before you’ve had a chance to vote. Your vote is too important to be left out. To ensure that no unforeseen emergencies keep you from the polls, register to get on the permanent mail-in ballot list. Then you can fill them out at your leisure and drop them in the mail before election day, or at any poll on election day. No need to worry where your polling station is!
