About Us
The Arizona Education Network was conceived in 2009 as a way to disseminate factual, up-to-date and accurate information about the public schools in our state.

AZ Education Network is Your Information Source.
The Arizona Education Network offers a number of resources to help you find out more about the latest education legislation, how to communicate with your elected representatives, ways to connect with other public education advocates and information on how you can become actively involved in your local schools.
Our Mission:
The Arizona Education Network exists to provide factual, relevant and up-to-date information as it pertains to public education in our state. We seek to provide parents, students, businesses and community members with accurate information and the resources to enable them to take action on behalf of Arizona students.
The Arizona Education Network was conceived with no outside funding and is operated in conjunction with parent groups and friends of public education from across Arizona. We are a non-partisan coalition and we strive to find solutions to our current public education crisis.

Who we are!
We are parents, businessmen & women, and community members who value public education.
We recognize the importance of having strong schools in our community and we believe an investment in education pays dividends in our overall economy.
We are registered Republicans, Democrats and Independents who don’t understand how politicians can try to make our commitment to public education into a partisan issue.
We are voters who pay close attention to the people who were elected to represent our families and businesses.
We have no tolerance for misinformation, invented statistics or anything short of the facts. We find it wholly unacceptable that some of our elected officials are trying to justify their indifference to the issues in our public schools with inaccurate information or manufactured spin from special interest groups.
We hold our Arizona teachers in high regard, and we recognize that–despite what certain politicians and media stories would have us believe–the vast majority of educators are highly skilled and dedicated professionals.
We put the ‘non’ in non-profit – This website was initiated and funded with donations from concerned parents in Southern Arizona. We aren’t directly affiliated in any way with any national groups, state educational organizations or special interest lobbies; but we ARE linked to a growing number of parent, business, student and education advocacy groups from across the state.
What we aren’t!
We aren’t partisan. We support any elected official who is sincerely working to improve our public education system.
We aren’t terribly patient. We think that public education in Arizona has reached an ideological and fiscal crisis point. We believe strongly that our legislators are mandated to provide for the “development and improvement” for our schools, and we are looking for movement in that direction right now.
We don’t believe that money is the only solution. We do, however, recognize that you can’t run a modern school on chalk and platitudes alone. Public school funding in our state is inadequate, and our legislators should be looking at ways to address our competitive shortfalls instead of trying to justify larger class sizes and fewer resources for our students.
We aren’t going away. We have children and grandchildren in public schools, and we aren’t willing to stand by idly and put their futures at risk. We have businesses and jobs in Arizona and we want to ensure their future success. We recognize that the funding and performance issues in our public schools won’t be addressed overnight, but we are certain that focusing on improving our educational system will be well worth the time and effort.
