Companies like Raytheon are here in Arizona because the state supports research universities that can produce the talent needed to keep American technology at the forefront. Despite the difficult economy, Raytheon continues to grow and create exactly the type of high-paying jobs that hold the future for our state.

Those jobs won’t exist in Arizona without publicly supported research universities to sustain them. Raytheon Co., which has 73,000 employees worldwide, recruits more students from the University of Arizona than any other school. Over the past five years, more than 460 of Raytheon’s college hires came from Arizona universities, and of those 350 were from UA.
