(Concerned Arizona Residents for Education), LEAN (Legislative Education Action Network), and TUSS (Tucson Unified School Supporters) merged to form the Arizona Education Network.  This is exciting news for the state of Arizona, as all three networks bring a large and passionate talent set to the advocacy for public education issues.

Scottsdale Parent Council

Our purpose is to promote communication and cooperation between representative parent groups, district administration and staff, to monitor district services, and to advocate for the highest quality of education for all students attending school in the Scottsdale Unified School District.

The Scottsdale Parent Council (SPC) works as an advocate for the parents of the Scottsdale Unified School District, who want to improve the quality of public education in Arizona. We advocate for appropriate funding of K-12 education and oppose legislation that effectively reduces funding for K-12 public education. The SPC also provide ongoing education of parents on legislative actions affecting public education. The SPC Legislative Liaison is an active participant in APPLE, Arizona Parents for Public Education.

Community Legislative Network of the PVUSD
.
The CLN Committee is an advisory to the superintendent and includes representatives of all district stakeholder groups. Committee members develop a legislative agenda for the PVUSD and then track legislation and meet with the state legislators to inform and educate them about the district’s positions. The CLN utilizes an email network to send legislative updates to individual stakeholders with the goal of activating them to communicate with their legislators.
