"In tough times, our work almost doubles." Yep. And so too does it double for those services trying to pull together to save at-risk families and youth. Work doubles for teachers, as class sizes double and teachers get pink-slipped. What is doubling is the number of tax cuts being nicely packaged for those large c-corp companies, like SRP and Cox. This isn't compassionate stewardship of our state. This is corporate and special interest profiteering.

Do you feel the rumble under your feet? That's the founders of our state rolling over in their graves.

This is really just unbelievable. These lawmakers are so out of touch with how dire the consequences will be with the proposed budget cuts, and yet they see the value of not cutting their own offices? Their work "almost" doubles in tough times. I'm sorry, but there are not many businesses out there where the employees haven't been doing the work of 2-3 employees already...and they are just lucky to HAVE a job! They are attempting to balance the budget on the most vulnerable of Arizona's citizens, with potentially disastrous and life altering consequences, not to mention economically unsound repercussions. Seriously, Arizona would be better off if the state legislature would simply shut themselves down.
